Shell is an immersive video installation designed for the class Projects in Photography in April of 2023. The installation transforms the NYUAD Arts Center’s Cube space, using three short-throw projectors to create an immersive visual space. Three videos created by groups in the class play in sequence, each using a different wall to project a primary video. The works celebrate the materiality of 8mm film making commentary on the temporality of various media forms.The Wall text for the project, written by professor Andreas Valentin:
